I produced the 1st act of my musical "Process Inevitable" at the KC Fringe Fest, and received the Artistic Achievement Award for it! ...

I was working on my first written film that had to be 3 minutes for a competition. It was an allegory about what it's like being black in America. Well, I took your advice and made it a silent film, cutting all of the dialogue, and we took home first place for the 3 minute films, and won best overall cinematography! One of the judges even said, it was smart to go silent with it because it showed my abilities in storytelling as both a writer and director. He said, telling a story with a beginning, middle, and end with no words is difficult, and this being my first film was impressive, especially in that it beat the directing  veterans who usually win these things.
